#DesignSpaces | One of the rules for entering this space: “Go into this unit as someone who is both 3 years old and 100 years old.” As we explore design in Tokyo, we asked @blindsaay to show us a few of her favorite places. Among them: @reversibledestinyloftsmitaka, 9 apartments in a suburb of Tokyo. Designed by the conceptual artists Shusaku Arakawa and Madeline Gins and dedicated to Helen Keller, this is procedural architecture put to residential use. What that means: rolling floors, shifts in perspective and too many bright colors to count. “By changing the shape and size of your living space,” our guide told us, “you can change your life.” See for yourself: rent a unit (which come with 32 “directions for use”) on @airbnb. ️ Also on Lindsay’s list: the Nezu Shrine, Koffee Mameya, @daikanyama.tsutaya, 21_21 DESIGN SIGHT and Meguro Hiiragi. Watch our story to see @blindsaay’s tips for design lovers in Tokyo. : Ko Sasaki (Reversible Destiny Lofts Mitaka – In Memory of Helen Keller, created in 2005 by Arakawa and Madeline Gins, ©2005 Estate of Madeline Gins) . . .
